Professional Certification

For over 25 years, the Ohio Association of Child & Youth Professionals has certified hundreds of individuals as Child & Youth Care Workers.

The Ohio Association recently adopted a new child and youth care worker certification process.  The Ohio Association of Child and Youth Care Professionals, Inc. (OACYCP) offers competency based testing and professional certification for individuals working with children, youth and families through the Child & Youth Care Certification Board (CYCCB) and Child & Youth Care Certification Institute (CYC Institute). The CYC Institute offers the Entry Level (CYC),  Associate Level (CYC-A), and Professional Level Certification (CYC-P) certifications in collaboration with CYCCB.  The credentials offer career development beginning at the entry-level and extending through fully competent practice.

For certification information and forms are available at www.CYCcertification.org or by contacting the CYC Certification Institute at (979) 764-7306.
