Our 37th  Annual Conference

The Board of Directors and the Conference Committee of the Ohio Association of Child and Youth Care Professionals, Inc. invite you to attend our 37th Annual Conference.  This is our 39th year as an active association serving child and youth care professionals throughout Ohio.  We hope to make this occasion educational, entertaining and meaningful to everyone who joins us.

 A Hospitality Room hosted by the Board of Directors will be open on Tuesday evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.  We invite all those who are attending the Conference and who are at the Lodge on Tuesday evening to join us in getting acquainted and greeting old friends.

 The Annual Meeting of the Ohio Association of Child and Youth Care Professionals will be held on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.      Please attend the meeting and be actively involved in your Association.

 The Timothy E. Kuster Memorial Award for Excellence in Child Care and the Steve Plottner Award for Leadership in Child Welfare will be presented at the Conference. This year’s conference provides workshops that meet the requirements for Ethics Training Social Worker / Counselor / Marriage & Family Therapist Board.

 There will be prize giveaways following both luncheons. A few prizes will be “for members only.” To join the Association, complete a membership form.

 On Wednesday evening, there will be activities to enjoy that include a DJ in the main lounge of the Lodge, pool, euchre, and bingo.  The Lodge swimming pool is available as well.

Conference Information

The 37th Annual Conference of the Ohio Association of Child and Youth Care Professionals, Inc. will be held at the  Sawmill Creek Lodge   P.O. Box 358   Huron, Ohio   44839   419-433-3800  on Wednesday, March 22, 2015 and Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Arrangements for lodging will be made by the Conference Committee upon receipt of your registration form.  Tickets and workshop folder must be picked up at the registration desk on the day of the Conference.  Meal tickets will be enclosed.

Workshop assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis.  Please choose your workshops prior to coming to Sawmill; last minute changes will be limited.  Register early, not only to get your choice of workshops, but to allow us time to book rooms, order meals and prepare materials.  Agencies should mail or fax registration forms as soon as possible and mail the payment as soon as it is ready.   Certificates of attendance will be available to all Conference participants.  Follow the link for a complete conference schedule.

Continuing Education Credits:

We have applied for provider numbers for both Counselor and Social Worker credit from the Licensing Board.  In order to receive credit, your signature must appear on the Attendance Sheet circulated in each workshop.  If you are a licensed social worker or counselor and need CEU’s, please check the box on your registration form to expedite this process.  Requests made at the Conference will not be processed on site.

Two-Day Registration includes all workshop fees, lodging on Wednesday night, coffee and rolls on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, and dinner on Wednesday evening.

One-Day Registration: March 22 OR March 23, 2017 
One-day rate: $99.00
One-Day Registration includes all workshop fees, coffee and rolls in the morning, and lunch.

If you wish to stay at the Lodge on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights:  you must enclose $99 per night per room for single or $109 for a double.

OACYCP will not assign roommates. Persons not listing a roommate will be assigned a single room at the $290 rate.

Persons registering at the Conference should be prepared to pay fees with PayPal (payment to payments@helpingohiokids.org), cash or an agency issued check.
